Dental Exams and Dental Cleanings in San Francisco

A comprehensive dental exam includes an oral cancer screening, evaluation of dental x-rays, a thorough periodontal (gum) exam, and detailed tooth exam (for decay) and a check of all your restorations including fillings, crowns, bridges, and implants. If this is your first visit to our office, please bring any old dental x-rays, especially if they were taken within the last one to five years.

Professional dental cleaning (dental prophylaxis) is usually performed by Registered Dental Hygienists (RDH) and involves the removal of plaque, tartar (calculus) and stain, and flossing and a polish. A fluoride application is given as needed.

If you have any questions about dental exams & cleanings please contact Pacific Dental Associates at their dental office in San Francisco in Pacific Heights today!
